founded by robert bowen smith and lesley larsen nesbit in 2010. exit, pursued strives to create theater that both challenges and inspires audiences through experimentation in theater. rob and lesley founded this company on four artistic goals:

1. Story (we strive for a strong connection to the story of a play in all of our work) 

2. Movement (we seek a clear stage picture, heightened physical storytelling, and movement potential/exploration to enrich the text of a play) 

3. Music (we strive to create original music that enhances our ability to tell a clear story) 4. Spirituality (we intend all of our work to inspire and provoke our audience to a stronger connection to their spiritual nature through the vicarious experience of theater). As a company, exit, pursued, uses these for standards to create both original work and reinvent traditional pieces in an original way.
